NIELIT J&K and CSC-SPV organized a one day awareness workshop on implementation of "Kiosk Solution for Banks" on 6th January 2015 at NIELIT Srinagar. The workshop was attended by around 150 participants including SCA, CSC /NIELIT Centres along with officials from NIELIT, Jammu & Kashmir Bank (SCA) and officials from State Bank of India. Dr. Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, CEO, CSC -SPV was present at the workshop as the Chief Guest and gave the inaugural address. Mr. A. H. Moon, Director, NIELIT was also present and spoke about CSC & NIELIT tie-up and the work done by the organisation in J&K.
NIELIT already has an agreement with CSC-SPV for implementation of Kiosk banking solutions across all their centres, and are ensuring that NIELIT centres are enrolled as banking correspondents so as to provide G2C and B2C services in J&K State.
The following Services along with their process and issues were addressed at the workshop:
- National Pension System
- Insurance (Rural Authorised Person)
- Pan Card
- IRCTC
- Help Desk related Issues .
Banking Correspondence Services and related process flow were explained to all VLE’s by Mr. Wani from J & K Bank. He also addressed queries related to J & K bank.
The workshop was attended by 150 participants. Mainly kiosk holders from all across the state participated in the two day workshop. The participants were provided orientation & training on various services such Insurance, Pension, Banking Correspondence, Education – NDLM, CyberGram, Financial Literacy Programme, BCC, CCC. Wallet creation was also explained to the VLEs. The newly launched scheme for Wallet creation was communicated to the participants along with distribution of free biometric devices. A session on Bhamashah service of the State Government was also organized to educate the kiosk owners.
Kiosk holders who had cleared the Rural Authorised Person exam for delivering insurance services in the rural areas were distributed IRIS device and certificate by Secretary IT&C. Secretary IT&C, DoIT&C, GoR, on the closing day of the workshop, addressed the concerns of the kiosk holders and distributed certificates of participation as well as RAP licenses. Workshop concluded on a positive note where kiosk holders committed registration for RAP and creation of wallets.
The next day session was held on NDLM and Cybergram project with in depth discussion with VLEs. NDLM training was concluded with TAB Distribution to the VLEs. Further training was conducted on Banking and mixed bag session on various services available in Apna Csc portal.
