290 Anganwadi workers digitally trained by VLE Sham and his wife Pranita

Anganwadi workers during DISHA training by VLE Sham

VLE Sham Vasudev Sonar and his wife Mrs. Pranita have so far provided DISHA training to around 290 Anganwadi workers in their two centres at Shahada taluk of Nandurbar district in Maharashtra. The husband-wife duo has the distinction of being the first VLEs to start NDLM training in Nandurbar district.

Prior to DISHA training, VLEs Sham and Pranita had organised an hour-long mobilisation session for the grassroots health functionaries, Anganwadi and ASHA workers at a function organised by the state health ministry in the taluk. They spoke about the importance of digital literacy training, which would help them in efficiently discharging their duties in days to come. The session was also attended by MahaOnline District Coordinator Mr. Rahul Wagh who further explained the role of e-governance in governance machinery in the near future.

With the training of Anganwadi workers over, VLEs Sham and Pranita are now commencing with the training of ASHA workers by next week. They have already mobilised around 300 ASHA workers for the digital literacy training.
