The National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Project is now on Social Media. We have created Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages for the scheme, in order to promote as well as keep everyone updated. The pages consist of all the important news, pictures, and videos i.e. all the latest happenings taking place under the Scheme.

The Scheme aims to make one person in every family digitally literate. It is one of the integral components of the Prime Minister’s Vision of “Digital India”. It envisages initially to provide Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training to 10 lakh (Ten lakh) persons, one in every eligible household in each State/ UT of the country. Of the ten lakh citizens covered under the Scheme, one lakh would be trained by Industry, NGOs, etc.

The objective is to impart basic ICT skills relevant to the need of the trainee, which would enable the citizen to use IT and related applications and participate actively in the democratic process and further enhance opportunities for their livelihood. The person shall be able to access information, knowledge and skill through the use of digital technologies.

At present we have 58 likes on the page and are inviting every one of you to contribute in promoting our page.
