 VLEs to initiate digital literacy training at Gaya Muslim Orphanage

VLE Neyaz Ahmad, along with his wife VLE Farzana Parveen, has ventured on a new initiative to spread digital literacy among the poor and orphaned children of the Gaya Muslim Orphanage-cum-Madarsa in Gaya district of Bihar.

As part of the initiative carried out under NDLM, a workshop was conducted on the campus of Gaya Muslim Orphanage-cum-Madarsa for Boys on March 18, 2016. The workshop, which discussed the Digital India initiative and NDLM scheme, was attended by the orphanange warden, along with its’ teachers and over 150 students. The Madarsa also runs a high school which is aided by the State government.

THE VLEs also plan to start similar training at Gaya Muslim Orphanage-cum-Madarsa for Girls, a sister concern of the orphanage, which is situated at nearby Kolowna village. The orphanage has around 150 orphan girls, who receive education up to matriculation.
