 VLE Naresh Kumar starts DISHA training in Telangana

Mr Naresh Kumar of Chandrugonda in Khammam district has become the first VLE to start the Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) training for anganwadi workers in Telangana. The first batch of 14 anganwadi workers have started the training and have already undergone assessment for Module 1 of the course. VLE Kumar has been working round the clock in motivating all anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorized ration dealers in his mandal to join the DISHA training for basic IT literacy.


 NDLM training broadcast live on PAWAN channel in Gujarat

A satellite-based interactive programme for National Digital literacy Mission was conducted on March 12, 2015 in Gujarat. The training programme, which lasted over half-an-hour, was telecast on PAWAN channel under the Panchayati Raj Department of the State. The telecast is supposed to have reached approximately 10,700 viewers in 10,500 gram panchayats across the State. The programme, which has been produced by NDLM Service Centre Agency eGram Vishwagram Society, will be telecast daily on the channel.

 ANMs, MPWs and Mitanins to get DISHA training in Chhattisgarh

All Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) workers, Multi-Purpose Health Workers (MPW) and Commuity Health Workers (Mitanins) in Chhattisgarh will receive training under the Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA). The Chhattisgarh National Health Mission Director has issued a letter to all concerned departments to connect with the NDLM PMU regarding the training of these grassroots workers. The 20-hour training in basic IT skills is expected to equip these workers in discharging their duties efficiently through the use of various e-governance initiatives.


 District-level DISHA workshop in Kanpur

A district-level workshop was held for 37 VLEs who have registered for the training of anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorized ration dealers under the Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) in Kanpur on March 13, 2015. The workshop was conducted by NDLM PMU and attended by e-District Manager Mr. Sandeep Yadav, state training partner district in-charge Mr. Prabhat Kumar among other officials.

NDLM PMU representative briefed the VLEs about registration of these grassroots workers under the DISHA and how the 20-hour basic IT literacy course would further help these workers in discharging their duties more efficiently on the ground. A live demonstration was also provided on how to register these workers on the Apna CSC portal. The session was interactive and the doubts of the VLEs regarding the registration and training under DISHA were clarified.
