 VLEs from West Bengal facilitate Tea garden workers for cashless transactions

Mr. Balaram Saha is a CSP of Corporation Bank from Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal. He has conducted camps in Tea Gardens and small factories in remote places for promoting cashless transactions. He has opened accounts for the workers in tea estates like Fapri plantation, Baruya para, Shibnath para. He has also opened accounts for security guards in Nepali Basti Medicine Company. Women workers who work in small factories in Nawa para have also opened their accounts. Overall 200 accounts opened so far.

Mahtab Alam, Bank Mitra of Allahabad Bank Darjeeling District, West Bengal has set up cashless transaction camps in Ramukh Cedar Tea Garden and also opened many accounts (AEPS) for facilitating the payments of the workers.
