DIGITAL LITERACY TRAINING TO 6 CR RURAL HOUSEHOLDS
The cabinet has cleared 'Prime Minister Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA)' to provide digital literacy training to six Crore rural households by the end of March 2019. The centre plans to do this through Common Services centres and other Training Partners present in around 2.5 Lakh locations.
These Digitally literate citizens would be able to operate computers and digital access devices like tablets and smartphone, send and receive emails, undertake cashless transactions and browse the internet to access government services and search for information.
The scheme will be implemented by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited under the supervision of the Ministry of Electronics and IT in collaboration with the states and Union Territories through their designated state-implementing agencies and District e-governance societies.

1.4 Lakh Digimail IDs and Password has been shared to registered and re-registered VLEs
CSC SPV has sent the 1.4 lakh Registered and Re-registered users their new Digimail email id and Password. This email service is offered free of cost to CSC Network users under the CSC 2.0 Project. DigiMail is the unique email id which will be provided to all the applicants on successful registration and re-registration.

- The DigiMail credentials have been shared with the VLE’s on their email ID available through e-KYC i.e. the Aadhaar linked Email address which was provided by them at the time of Registration/Re-Registration.
- DigiMail is the unique email id which has been provided to all the applicants on successful and quality checked registration and re-registration applications.
- DigiMail is the personal and direct CSC address for uniform communication within the CSC community.
- DigiMail account will be used for all the further communication and important notifications from CSC E-Governance Services India Limited.
- The Connect credentials of the VLE’s for the Digital Seva Portal will be shared on their respective DigiMail address only.
- The VLE’s are strictly advised not to share their DigiMail information with anybody and also ensure that they do not ask the same from others.
