No more compulsory biometric authentication for depositing cash at CBI BC outlets

Central Bank of India has removed the compulsory biometric authentication requirement for depositing cash at BC outlet from its Kiosk banking software.

Central Bank of India has removed the compulsory biometric authentication required in its Kiosk banking solution. This has been done to facilitate smooth deposit of cash at their BC outlets without any hassles.

The move is expected to make it convenient for FI customers to deposit cash in their account even through a representative, may be a family member, friend etc. It expected that this change would result in substantial increase in number of cash transactions at each BC point. All VLEs must promote this service.
