 More than 450 students registered from Rajasthan under Cyber Gram Yojana

More than 450 students have been registered under the Cyber Gram Yojana project in Rajasthan so far. The project is being implemented in eight districts of the State, namely Hanumangarh, Alwar, Bharatpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Swai Madhopur, Nagaur and Tonk. The target under the project is to train 10,400 minority students from the four madrasas and 52 schools in the State.

Registration of students began in the State on Ocober 28, 2015. A master training workshop was also organised in Jaipur on the same day to orient the VLEs regarding the objectives and implementation of the project. Fifteen VLEs, who are to implement the project had attended the session.

Cyber Gram Yojana aims to provide hands-on training in computers to students from the minority community in order to enable them to acquire basic ICT skills that would empower them to participate in knowledge-based activities, access financial, social and government services and use Internet for communications.
