 VLE Seema Kumari from Bilaspur, HP spreading CSC services in her locality


Ms. Seema Kumari is a Post graduate in Hindi Literature and has a B Ed . She also has a diploma in computer engineering from APTECH Computer Education.

She has started Lok Mitra Kendra/CSC Center in March 2012. At that time there are only one service in CSC that is offline submission of electricity bill. Soon the online service has started but at that time it seemed as if it cannot earn its running cost even. But she was determined to continue as future seemed bright. She continued to work and find new ways to make it running. She started mobile recharging services and insurance premium payment service and later sold solar products to the natives which improved her earnings.

She started pan card service and also railway reservation on her own to meet the broadband internet charges. Now after two years it is possible to save some money for further development of her CSC Centre. She has invested in 8 computer systems and equipped with printer and lamination machine and other devices. Along with this other s, services like Nakal Jamabandi, Water bill and Telephone bill payment etc were offered through state portal and the national portal has also started new services through apna.CSC.gov.in.

Further more the financial inclusion project was introduced through which she has educated 200 village women in savings insurance and benefits of banking services and saving habits.

With the passage of time, service of women literacy under e-inclusion is also introduced through the CSC team.

She provides aadhaar card service and digital locker services.

Every day around 40-100 peoples visit her CSC centre for various services from her village and other neighbouring village. She has provided employment to four girls from poor families and also bearing their further education expenses
