Beneficiaries of e-Inclusion project from Amlapara village in Pakur block, Jharkhand, would have missed their exams on February 8, 2015, had it not been for their motivated trainer VLE Babloo Dahri. Babloo personally hired a bus for taking his 35 students from Amlapara to another exam centre in Pakur town, since there was no power supply in his centre during the examination hours.

Examinations under the e-Inclusion: IT Training for Rural ST Beneficiaries project is underway in the five districts of Pakur, Sahebganj, Godda and Deogarh in Jharkand. A total of 1391 students are scheduled to appear for the examinations, which started on February 7, 2015.

The implementation of the project is progressing in these districts. The VLEs involved in the project have been doing an appreciable job, with the support of villagers and local school administration, despite challenges like intermittent power supply and low internet connectivity. Sister Luey Joseph of the local missionary school in Patna panchayat offered her school infrastructure and computer lab for conducting classes for the beneficiaries. Another school in Baratoufir panchayat has also supported VLE Chand Soudagar Chodhari by allowing him to use the school computer lab to conduct classes for the beneficiaries in his area.

A total of 37 CSCs are involved in implementing the SC project in Jharkhand, while 2387 beneficiaries have been approved for training in the project. Out of this, 2142 beneficiaries have completed the training from the five districts.

A CSC SPV official visited the e-Inclusion project centres in Baratoufir , Mandro and Patna panchayats in Sahibganj district and Pakur and Pakuriya pachayats in Pakur district during February 7-11 to monitor the status of the project, including the infrastructure and preparations for the examinations.
