Today, IFFCO e-Bazar products launched through CSC to provide all agricultural inputs under one roof in rural India.

While inaugurating the program, Dr. U S Awasthi, MD & CEO, IFFCO said that last mile delivery is most important aspect of our activities and we are moving in this direction with the help of CSCs. He mentioned that the more than 4 lakh CSCs have played a significant role in Digital India initiatives of the Government. He said that Village Level Entrepreneurs have revolutionized India by empowering farmers, marginalized communities and rural citizens and providing opportunities for access of various government and other services to them.

Dr. Awasthi said, “The concept of VLEs is in line with Mahatma Gandhi’s Gram Swaraaj. We are committed to health, safety and environment development to enrich the quality of community life as well as social responsibilities for a strong social fabric. Our mission is "to enable Indian farmers to prosper through timely supply of reliable, high quality agricultural inputs and services in an environmentally sustainable manner and to undertake other activities to improve their welfare". He said, “As a cooperative society, we are committed for fostering cooperative movement in the country. We are emerging as a dynamic organisation, focussing on strategic strengths, seizing opportunities for generating and building upon past success, enhancing earnings to maximise the shareholders’ value. We source raw materials for the production of phosphatic fertilisers at economical cost by entering into Joint Ventures outside India.” “We are also working on processing of vegetables. In Sikkim, we are processing tamarind and immunity booster products. We are providing fertilizers in nano form. The 500g Nano bottle which is very cheap, replaces one bag of urea. The Nano Nitrogen and Zinc will help environment protection and sustainability.”

“We augment the incremental incomes of farmers by helping them to increase their crop productivity through the balanced use of energy efficient fertilisers; maintain the environmental health; and to make cooperative societies economically and democratically strong for professionalised services to the farming community to ensure an empowered rural India.”

He said, “I wish the Village Level Entrepreneurs of CSC all the best and hope they will truly be the harbingers of revolution in the field of farmers empowerment in India and enable us to create empowered society. IFFCO will always support CSCs in enabling delivery of services.”

Mr. Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director, IFFCO said, “This initiative is very helpful during corona pandemic. IFFCO e Bazar outlets work with the objective of providing modern retail experience in rural India to deliver Agri inputs and services to the Farming community at the reasonable price under one roof. Fertilisers like Sagarika, liquids/seeds, agrochemicals, bio fertilizer increase the productivity of farmers. VLEs will get very attractive commission for these products. Sagarika, the plant growth promoter has become the premium product for the farmers. The Sagarika liquid has an abundance enzyme that is present only in sea weeds. They make plants energy efficient and continually review various schemes to conserve energy.”

He announced that it will be buying Nimboli-Neem from farmers across the country through CSCs. "we are constantly looking at ways of increasing livelihood of our farmers. Buying Nimboli is a unique experiment in the country, where we want to encourage farmers not only to sell Nimboli to us, but also grow more Neem trees. Neem has a lot of other health benefits too and we want our brothers and sisters in villages to gain from growing a Neem in their backyard."

“We are supplying fertilizers, Agrochemicals, bio fertilizers, bio stimulants, cattle feed, sprayers and other agri implements. Company has introduced a new product in the market Natural Potash for the benefit of farmers. The product has received good response.
