  Woman VLE Manisha Ben helps poor women and MGNREGA workers in Amreli (Gujarat)

CSCs in Amreli, Gujarat are facilitating a one time payment to MGNREGA workers and poor women in more than 500 districts as the country have been put under lockdown.

Woman VLE Manisha Ben is providing direct cash transfer benefits through DigiPay. The VLE is creating awareness in her panchayat Vaghela Sheri (district Amreli, Gujarat) that people can withdraw cash from their Jan Dhan Accounts during pandemic. She used this opportunity to serve poor women from marginalized communities. With the help of VLE, 1000 women from Vaghela Sheri, Jafrabad have received direct cash transfer benefits from their Jan Dhan accounts. Sarpanch Vijanandbhai Vaghela also visited the CSC centre and praised Manisha Ben for taking precautions of corona by using sanitizers for all costumers, using mask and sanitization of finger print device. Social distancing of one meter is also being maintained by all beneficiaries.





 


  Success story of VLE Abhijit Ghosh from Kishanganj, Bihar



Abhijit Ghosh is a VLE who belongs to Kishan Ganj which is in Bihar. He has joined the services of CSC in 2008. He says that he has seen many ups and downs in his life. At that time people does not know what CSC was, only caste certificate was online available. On February 1, 2015 he started Aadhar nomination work through his office. He says that he got identity by doing this work. Earlier people used to say photocopier man but now he is Digital Bhaiya of the village. He also provides services of banking, e-KYC, voter-id, railway ticket etc. services.

The SHO, Block Development Officer, reporters now know him. Many people from the Aanganwadi center and from the district center visit his center and appreciate his work. He feels proud after providing social welfare services to old and poor people, he is empowering his village. Hon’ Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has honoured him for making maximum Aadhar nominations. He is very thankful to CSC because of which he got employment. He has given employment to five people in his center.
