  CSC SPV conducted workshop on Digital Village in New Delhi

On 10th May, CSC SPV conducted workshop on “Digital Village-Enabling Access to Technology and Digital Services” on May 10, 2019 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The day-long event discussed the progress made by the CSC operators – the Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) in implementation of Digi Gaon project. Around 600 VLEs attended the conference.

CSC SPV is implementing the Digi Gaon initiative in rural and remote villages of the country, with mandate from the Ministry of Electronics & IT, where citizens can avail various online services of the central and State government, and private players.

DigiGaons are positioned to be change agents, promoting rural entrepreneurship and building rural capacities and livelihoods through community participation and collective action for engendering social change through a bottom-up approach with key focus on the rural citizen.

Sh. Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, MeitY, said, “I am very happy to note that today 3.86 lakh CSCs are redefining Digital India movement. VLEs are the army of Digital India. CSC is the live example of Social Entrepreneurship. With the help of CSC, the government services will be delivered in 700 Digital Villages. I am sure that CSC will be the single stop solution for all the requirements in Rural India.” He added, “Today, Crores of people have been registered under Ayushman Bharat and the credit goes to CSC VLEs. The Digital Village program will contribute in the uniform development of villages across the country.”



 


  IFFCO will set up Demonstration Plots in all the 700 Digital Villages in tie-up with CSC SPV

In order to facilitate farmers in rural areas to buy quality agri-inputs at their doorstep CSC SPV has launched a pilot project in 700 digital villages.
In this initiative IFFCO will develop demonstration agriculture plots in 700 Digital villages in tie-up with CSC SPV.
The expected outcomes of plot demonstration will be as follows

  • Maximize Production (Increasing Yield)
  • Improving quality of production.
  • Promote Balanced Fertilisation.
  • Educate Digital village’s farmers regarding crop practices.
  • Demonstrate Product Solutions as Remedy for prevailing low productivity.
  • Increasing the revenue of VLE
