  Woman VLE Maushami stands role model for others

Mausami Gatwal, as a VLE of district Ramgarh (Jharkhand) stands a role model for many women of CSC. She installed Sanitary pads Vending machines at 6 DAV schools, BIT Sindri Girls Hostels and Eklavya Girls Hostel, Khelgaon, Ranchi. The VLE adopted three schools for implementation of FIM and Robotics course. She is very energetic and says CSC has given her reputation in the society and enabled her to serve people and earn a livelihood.

Moushmi Ghatwal set up her Pragya Kendra in May 2017 at Ramgarh Cantt, Jharkhand. The VLE has joined “Stree Swabhiman” project to help adolescent girls and poor women have access to affordable sanitary napkins. She also plans on empowering the women and girls to seek menstrual hygiene products. VLE Moushmi says: “This initiative of CSC SPV is wonderful. The sanitary napkins are at a much reasonable cost than others and also environment friendly. Given the increasing levels of damage to the environment, there is an urgent need to improve access to eco-friendly napkins.” .


 Free of cost sanitary napkin distribution in Kerala

Anil Kumar, who hails from Kerala and running CSC centre located in Enathu Panchayath Parthanamthitta , happens to be the first VLE in Kerala to start a Stree Swabhiman unit; recently organised a free of cost distribution of sanitary napkin at Kizhakkapuram Higher Secondary School on the 13th of February,2018.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Sreejith Babu, who is a medical officer at the Kaithaparambu Primary Health Centre. Around 50 students successfully attended the program, and were distributed sanitary napkins to promote feminine hygiene and create awareness about the same. Holistically, it was a successful program and alongside CSC state team also spoke regarding CSC and the extended services that one could benefit from .
