VLE Veerabhadra runs his CSC at Gajanuru Village, Shivamogga – Karnataka. This area is in outskirts covered with dense forests. But, with self determination and motivation, the VLE has set up Wi-Fi chaupal in his Gram Panchayat. He says, “It was difficult to travel 20 Km to get networks and internet facility as well. With Wi-Fi Choupal we are getting high speed internet in my Panchayat.” The VLE has sold 1500+coupons and have earned handsome revenue. With the efforts of VLE, people in Gajanuru village are becoming literate. In this far-flung area, citizens have started banking transaction, video calling, booking online tickets though Wi-Fi Choupal internet. The VLE says, “On behalf of people in my village, I thank CSC for making it happen. With pride I would also say that rural populace in my village is being digitally empowered.

CSC Location: Dunda, Uttarkashi

VLE Sohan Negi started his CSC journey from Dunda in June, 2014. Dunda is a Block located in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand. Placed in rural region of Uttarakhand, it is one of the 7 blocks of Uttarkashi district. Literacy ratio in Dunda block is just 65%. Being the low literacy area, citizens need more awareness on G2C and B2C services and VLE Sohan Negi did this job in excellent manner. The key services through his centre are: IRCTC, LIC Premium, Electricity Bill collection, Mobile and DTH recharge.  The VLE has performed well in Motor Insurance. 

Shaukath Ali has been associated with CSC since 2016. The VLE has been actively providing G2C and B2C services through his centre.The VLE has received certificate from davanagere DC office for the work of crop survey.  VLE Shaukath treats his customers well and is very sincere. Due to his timlely delivery of services, The citizens in Davanagere prefer to visit Shaukath Ali’s CSC for the government services. He is highly respected among the VLEs in Karnataka. Through CSC, benefits of various welfare schemes are now available to rural residents. CSC is helping them to avail services in time and in a cost effective manner.

Shaukath Ali is very popular in his Gram Panchayat and he is well connected with people. This skill has also helped him in generating good earnings for himself. He is the excellent example of a entrepreneur in rural India using digital tools to promote government services under the Digital India mission.

VLE Ratan Mani started his CSC in 2015 at Shyampur in Dehradun district. Prior to that, he was working as an engineer in an automobile company. Due to some personal issues, he resigned from the job. He then decided to set up his entrepreneurship. When he got to know about CSC ecosystem, he immediately decided to become a CSC VLE. He started services like PAN Card, Passport, Insurance, Electricity & Water bill payment, etc. which were beneficial to citizens of Shyampur. The most popular service at his CSC is the insurance service, especially motor insurance.
