CSC SPV is organizing a state-level conference for over 500 VLEs from Karnataka on March 3, 2018. The Conference is an effort to showcase the progress and impact made by CSCs in providing various services to citizens and bringing them closer to governance, thereby transforming Karnataka through inclusive growth. The one day workshop will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Electronics & IT Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad.

 Jharkhand CM Praised CSCs for Digital Delivery of Services at Jharkhand IT Conclave 2018

On 25th February 2018, Jharkhand organized an IT Summit called “Jharkhand IT Conclave 2018” at Nehru Stadium, Dhurwa, Ranchi. The IT Conclave was graced by the Honourable Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Raghubar Das and was participated by the 7000 VLEs of Jharkhand.

Other dignitaries present during the IT Conclave were Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, Smt. Rajbala Verma, CEO of CSC SPV, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, DG of STPI, Dr. Omkar Rai, Representatives from Facebook and other IT companies.

While speaking on the occasion, Hon’ Minister said that, “Department of IT and e-Governance has prepared itself to launch the medical service through CSCs under which any family can get consultation with doctors as many as eight times in a month, get prescribed medicines over there along with other services continuing at present. The facility would be free of cost for BPL families.”

Addressing to an elated audience of more than 7,000 Hon’ Minister admired CSCs for efficient delivery of digital services in rural parts of the state.

The CM on the occasion handed over successful certification to 4,50,000 rural youths under PMGDISHA program, launched 30 Rural BPOs in different parts of the State, inaugurated 2,500+ seater BPO which will create more than 7,500 job opportunities for youth here. Verified Facebook pages for 10,000 village level entrepreneurs (VLEs) were also launched during the conclave which will help them with digital marketing opportunities and facilitating them in their business growth.

The CM encouraged startups, BPOs and IT ecosystem coming up in the State and promised to provide infrastructure embedded with the plug-n-play facility along with program management capabilities for them. Jharkhand, as a leader, has opened maximum numbers of Rural BPOs in country with 30 out of total 40 only in Jharkhand.

On the occasion CM also announced the creation of job opportunities for more than 5000 rural youths under PMGDISHA and education services in Jharkhand and establishment of rural BPOs in each blocks of Jharkhand and giving work to them.

Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma mentioned that the Government is working towards the growth of IT/ ITeS sector for better future of the State and its citizens. She further added that, States aim is to develop Jharkhand as an IT hub and has launched progressive policies on Startups, BPO/ BPM industry, IT/ ITeS and ESDM sector. She also informed that the Government has inked MoU with Gujarat Venture Fund Limited (GVFL) for creation of INR 250 crore of Startup fund by GVFL.

The conclave also saw great number of VLEs, youths working with rural BPOs and Startup firms attending the conclave where several technical sessions were also organised for their benefits. During Conclave DK Tyagi, CEO of Common Service Center SPV, Omkar Rai, DG-STPI, Anil Chhikara, Chairman-Startup India Foundation, Rahul Narvekar, Founder-The India Network and Rajat Arora, from Facebook India also shared their views.
Exhibition of stalls were also organized. CSC showcased four stalls: Rural BPO, Stree Swabhimaan Unit, PMGDISHA and CSC unit.
