 Hazaribagh VLE Aruna Jaiswal Becomes a Role Model for VLEs in Jharkhand

Aruna Jaiswal started her journey as a VLE by opening a CSC centre in Bahera Gram Panchayat of district Hazaribagh, Jharkhand in January 2017, and since then she has been excelling in empowering society with rendering G2C services to at doorsteps of citizens.

Her constant focus on digital empowerment of citizens in Hazaribagh and connect with people garnered credibility and respect for her. At present, she is delivering services, for example, PMGDISHA, Digipay, insurance, flight ticketing, and skill development.

She came to be recognized as a sincere and active woman VLE in Hazaribagh area soon after she started her CSC. People started identifying her as a symbol of women empowerment. She says: “I believe in women empowerment. It gives me immense satisfaction when I serve the senior citizens of village. People of Bahera Gram panchayat respect me and trust me. And this is the most important part of my journey. They have faith in my CSC for fulfilling their service needs.”

Aruna Jaiswal is an example of a women entrepreneur using ICT to promote public and private services under the Digital India initiative. Aruna Jaiswal’s skills to connect with people have also helped her in generating good earnings for herself.

Moreover, Aruna is highly excited about starting a sanitary napkin manufacturing unit in her area. She says, “It is a matter of pride that I am associated with this noble venture which will ensure that women in villages have the access to affordable and eco-friendly sanitary napkins, thereby improving their health and development outcomes.”


 Chhattisgarh Law Minister to Setup Sanitary Napkin Unit in Adopted Village

Hon’ Minister for Forest and Law of Chhattisgarh Shri Mahesh Gagda during his visit to Jangla village in Bijapur district agreed to help CSC to setup a sanitary napkin manufacturing unit to ensure women’s health and hygiene in tribal areas.

Notably, Hon’ Minister has adopted this village under Vidhayak Aadarsh Gram Yojana which aims at transforming the village into an ideal one.


 CSC Rozgar Mela Being Organised Across the Country

To make PwD candidates aware of skill development and employment opportunities available through CSC, a series of Rozgar Mela has been organised across the country.

Rozgar Mela in Haridwar, Uttarakhand
In Rozgar Mela, PwD candidate were informed about opportunities available through CSC. They were informed about Fastag, Jan Aushadhi, Rural BPO, NPS, PMGDISHA, CSC-Skill, Etc.
On the occasion the certificates were distribution to skilled Divyangjans by Special Guest Mr. Ramesh Chand Tripathi (DPRO).  62 VLEs and PwDs candidates attended the Mela.

Rozgar Mela in Krishnagiri Tamil Nadu
In Rozgar Mela held in Krishnagiri, VLEs and PwD candidates were motivation about skill development programs at CSC Skill Centres. They were informed about employment opportunities available through CSC Rural BPO, Banking, Fastag, BHIM, LED UNIT, FSSAI and Sanitary napkin Unit etc.
Under the program, VLE Selvaraj Chinnasamy trained 10 PwD persons out of which 8 students got certified. And he has given job to one candidates at his CSC center,
100 VLEs and 10 PwD candidates registered their presence in Mela.

Rozgar Mela in Salem Tamil Nadu

VLE Prabu R has given skill training to 10 PwD candidates and got certified 6 students. He has given employment opportunity to one candidate at his CSC centre. He has also conducted awareness program for differently-abled persons for skill development. 80 VLEs and 6 PwD candidates were present in Mela.
