CSCs proposed to be utilised for National Health Assurance Mission
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare proposes to utilise Common Service Centers to implement National Health Assurance Mission which targets achieving universal health coverage.

More than 3,670 centers with 5,445 machines are now working at CSCs as Permanent Enrolment Centers. PECs at CSCs are operative in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Punjab, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal, Haryana, Tripura, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Pondicherry.

CSCs can utilise NOFN in 1000 panchayats
CSCs can now utilise the National Optical Fibre Network by end of December 2014 in over 1000 panchayats. These CSCs will be able to deliver high bandwidth services using NOFN.
